Singing with the Frogs
“What clashes here of wills gen wonts, oystrygods gaggin fishy-gods! Brékkek Kékkek Kékkek Kékkek! Kóax Kóax Kóax! Ualu Ualu Ualu!” -James Joyce, Finnegans Wake
This is a most delightful video !!!
Thank you for a glorious rendition. ❤️
How unexpected and 🤩 fun!
I would sign up based upon that video.
Great read and video! I knew it as Vre ke ke kex ko ax ko ax and remember reading this as a kid! Loved it! It was turned into a children’s story. Makes me realise the difference on reading Aristofanes compared to kids’ stories.
It’s so clever. The rhythm even recurs in the later contest between tragedians, when Aeschylus keeps interrupting Euripides with ληκύθιον ἀπώλεσεν.
