A deaf and blind man will agree
He doesn’t have to hear or see
To know that quite definitely
He’s been beaned by a falling tree.

Allein Wirkung weist
Auf Dasein hin.
As to the sound and whether we perceive it
I have found we might as well leave it
To science which will say
It’s bound to happen anyway
We just aren’t around to receive it
