Certainly there is. The iambic trimeter consists of iambs ( di DUM di DUM), whereas dactylic feet go DUM di di DUM di di. I wrote about the dactylic hexameter used by Homer in an earlier post:

Definitely more complicated in Greek and Latin, because the metres are so exacting and the idiom and style need to be understood and captured.
