I’ve launched my substack because I decided that I’ve enough to share that is fun and interesting about the classics to do so on a regular basis. And I want to!

If you have an enthusiasm for ancient literature and languages, or even an interest in learning about them, I hope this will prove an enjoyable occasional read.

I will post an item at least twice a week, sometimes more. It might be a piece of thinking about an ancient poem, or a discussion of something in Greek or Latin literature or history. Some series of posts will allow keen students to learn - gradually and without tears! - things like Greek metre and Latin word roots.
